Service

Giving back to the CCNY community and Harlem community is our main priority as a newly-founded section. We place community service as our top priority not only because that's the mission of NCNW but because that's how neighborhoods flourish; with the active hands of one another. Throughout the semester we volunteer a lot with our Student Life Department and CityServ, among various other organizations to bring about change and innovative ideas to better our community.

Service: Projects

16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence

For 16 Days, NCNW CCNY collaborates with a variety of clubs and organizations on campus to explore and educate the campus and community on the various forms of domestic violence. Many events include violence against sex workers, men, LGBTQI community and women. These events taught the community how to identify domestic violence, how to help friends who are experiencing violence in their lives and most importantly, how to protect ones self against violence through hands-on workshops.
