City College Section

The National Council of Negro Women, City College Section was first formed as club because there was a need for positive affirmation within the black community on campus. Being the first New York Collegiate section established in the history of the organization, the City College Section was officially charted at the 2016 NCNW National Convention on September 27th, 2016.

Our purpose is to better the women in our college in addition to the high school students through professional, entrepreneurial and leadership events. As a section, we host a variety of volunteer and chapter events aimed to bettering our communities and ourselves. We are a group of all people who share the common goal of advancing the strengths of women of color.
